3 YONEX Players Reach the Semifinals in Indian Wells

One of the biggest events behind Grand Slam tournaments, BNP Paribas Open is reaching the climax. It was a proud achievement for YONEX as three star players progressed to the semifinals of the women’s singles.

No. 13 seed Maria Kirilenko (EZONE Xi 98, PTGP125) keeps up good form throughout the tournament and defeated the world’s top 10 players against No. 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska in the 4th round, Maria achieved 6 breaks to win the close match by 6-1 4-6 7-5 in 2 hours 27 minutes. And then she faced the 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the quarterfinals and overcame the tough opponent to reach the last 4 in Indian Wells for the first time. Aiming for the second title in 2013, Maria plays against the former world No.1 Maria Sharapova in the semifinals.

2 VCORE Xi players, No. 4 seed Angelique Kerber (VCORE Xi 100) and No. 8 seed Caroline Wozniacki (VCORE Xi 100) also advanced to the semifinals, and they meets at the next match for reaching the first final in 2013.
