Don’t Miss Team Yonex as the Official Stringer Down Under!

The Australian Open 2018, the year’s first Grand Slam event, kicks off in Melbourne on January 15th. For the third year in a row, the Yonex Stringing Team will serve as the Official Stringer for this major tournament known as the “Happy Slam.” In 2017, the team totaled 5,460 restrings with a maximum of 544 racquets on their busiest day. Highly trusted by top athletes, they will once again provide support in accordance with players’ wishes, utilizing high-performance stringing machines and their precise, speedy stringing abilities.

■Stan Wawrinka (SUI)
VCORE Duel G 97, ECLIPSION, Tournament Style wear

The 2014 Australian Open Champion and owner of the world’s most feared one handed backhand, Stan Wawrinka, will make his return to the pro tour after injury. The Swiss will make his return debut down under in his Very Cool Dry attire, with the technology to keep him -3℃ cool. The tech filled material will help keeps the Swiss’ skin dry and comfortable even during the hot Australian summer sun! Fans are eagerly waiting the return of Stan the Man with high expectations. ■Anastasija Sevastova (LAT)
EZONE 98, POLYTOUR PRO 125, Tournament Style wear

Sevastova continues to shine in what she calls her second career on tour. She has jumped to a personal best of World No. 15 with a consistent showing all of 2017. He Latvian will take to the Australian summer equipped with the new EZONE and Very Cool gear. She will start as the 14th seed at this year’s 1st Grand Slam.

■Nick Kyrgios (Australia)

Local Australian has started the 2018 season with a big win at the Brisbane International. ■Denis Shapovalov (Canada)

Last year, Denis Shapovalov, the NextGen star from Canada finished the year with 2 ATP World Tour awards for his sky rocketing jump in the rankings. With his fashy and athleticism, the left-handed Canadian unleashes a mean one-handed jump backhand to overwhelm his opponents in style. Follow this rising star as he starts his first full year on the pro tour!

■Caroline Garcia (France)

The successful Frenchwoman from Lyon has had an a massive 2017 season since joining Team Yonex last January. Caroline made a strong finish as she captured the Wuhan-Beijing Double, allowing her to qualify for her 1st WTA Finals and jumping her ranking to a career high of World No. 8. Garcia has attributed her success to the combination of her VCORE SV racquet and new POLYTOUR STRIKE strings calling it a “supreme pairing.”

■Coco Vandeweghe (USA)

The American CoCo Vandeweghe has climbed the rankings to a high of World No. 10 from No. 37 after switching to the new EZONE last August. Always performing well on hardcourts with 2 semifinal appearances in hardcourt surface Grand Slams, the Californian will seek to start 2018 with a bang by dominating her opponents with her powerful strokes and serves.
